Another killer album by a band that I am late to discover.
While their debut LP was a celebration of all things 70s hard blues rock, this is a serious departure into the progressive side of things. No noodling about, however. It reminds me most of a genre I may or may not have coined called ‘College Rock’, the typical elements of which being technical proficiency, the inspiration of youth, killer songwriting, and a positive attitude.
This band definitely doesn’t want to be pigeonho Lute FP
This came out a few years before I found BC so I missed it on the first round, but it just popped into my feed now and I am totally digging it.
The band wears their homage to the 60s and 70s classic rock greats on their sleeves, and they do a great job of preserving the aesthetic while updating the sound to modern specs. Not much to add to what the usual suspects have already said, other than if you missed it earlier and dig AOR rock-n-roll you will love this. Lute FP
